Experian QAS & helpIT SYSTEMS PARTNER TO IMPROVE DATA QUALITY
New Zealand - September 2008 - Experian QAS®, a leading supplier of contact data management solutions, today announced to the New Zealand market its partnership with helpIT systems, a leading developer of data cleansing solutions to improve business data quality. The partnership provides organisations with data hygiene tools that verify and standardise addresses and identify and process duplicate records. As a result, organisations can increase their productivity by spending less time identifying and processing customer information and more time on data strategies like segmentation and targeting. Under the agreement, QAS will resell helpIT systems' deduplication tool, matchIT.
Today's multichannel environment creates challenges for organisations when processing vast amounts of incoming data. Because customers can provide information at multiple entry points, such as the phone, web or point of sale terminals, the number of duplicate records in businesses' databases has increased. Combined with the constantly changing nature of data, many companies struggle to accurately and quickly match information from each channel.
"By using matchIT in addition to QAS' products, organisations can dramatically improve their data quality so they can devote more time to understanding and reaching customers and prospects," explains Frank McKenna, APAC Senior Product Manager at Experian QAS. "QAS products verify and standardise addresses at the point of entry. The matchIT tool compliments the QAS suite of data quality tools by providing a point solution for organisations who wish to manage their own duplicate records."
matchIT is a flexible and customisable product that identifies
and processes duplicate data from multiple sources by using
sophisticated matching algorithms. Users can quickly identify
duplicate records based on a combination of fields such as contact
names, address information or account numbers. The software also
allows database specialists to recognise and maintain the most
current records and remove out-of-date information. When matchIT is
combined with the addresses verified and standardised with QAS
products, a higher number of duplicate records can be found.
