NZ businesses can clean up their act with QAS QuickAddress Batch

Sydney,June 2007 - QAS, an Experian® company, one of Australia's leading address management specialists, today announced the launch of NZ QuickAddress Batch address management software to clean, complete and verify existing records in an address database.

A vast number of New Zealand companies think an 80 per cent database accuracy rate is a good result and that some element of poor data is the norm. This perspective is a very expensive one that reveals little awareness of the financial costs associated with the 20 per cent that simply falls by the wayside. QAS estimates one item of mail that is returned to sender costs between NZ$14 and NZ$25 when both direct and indirect costs are factored in.

QuickAddress Batch solves this problem by cleaning selected records, verifying data against pre-selected New Zealand data files and outputting the data in the format required. It checks records, amends spelling errors, validates postcodes and completes partial records automatically. Any address that cannot be automatically updated is flagged for manual correction. Manual correction can be undertaken by multiple users simultaneously, as QuickAddress Batch's interactive functionality locks the address being worked on, allowing only a single user to update the record at any one time.

QuickAddress Batch is easy to use and install. An intuitive wizard guides the user through the entire address checking process, from the selection of addresses for cleansing to determining the data output format. The actual address checking then proceeds automatically. It also standardises the format of addresses so that databases can be merged or shared more easily.

As of July 2008, New Zealand Post requires all businesses to be SendRight certified to retain bulk mail discounts, meaning their database needs to be 85 percent accurate. QuickAddress Batch will assist New Zealand businesses to comply with New Zealand Post regulations and retain the bulk mail discounts as well as save time and money, while increasing workplace efficiency.
